This is the former court of the now-scorned Sarnak hero, Korucust. Long ago, he was a member of Overking Bathezid's council, and was essential in breaking ties with the deceitful dragons who had sent a secret agent into the council. With his help, the former Overking began a campaign that would drive the dragons from Kunark and raise the Sarnak nation. But Korucust was deceived, and along with him the hopes of the Sarnak nation rising.
A band of powerful adventures invaded Chardok and battled all the way to the Great Throne Room and slew Overking Bathezid before the eyes of his council. After his death, the destitute councilmen blamed the failure of the defenses on Korocust and his elite caste, the Shai'din. They publicly claimed that he had conspired with Venril Sathir, the supposed mastermind of the assault.
