Fordel Mist (AKA Shadow Haven) is a subterranean city within the core of Luclin. It is well known for its trade and commerce, acting as a trading hub among the various cities across Luclin. It is said that when the Combine Empire fled Norrath, they were transported deep underneath Luclin's crust. The transportation magics were drawn towards a black circular sphere called the Nexus. The Combine refugees began to carve their way through the caverns and rock, eventually establishing a vast city known as Shadow Haven.
Some of the Combine wanted to escape their underground imprisonment and soon found their way to the surface of Luclin. These Combine would take along their incapacitated leader, Tsaph Katta, to the surface and found Katta Castellum. When Seru's Inquisitors arrived in pursuit of the Combine Empire, they were transported directly to the Nexus as were the ones before them. Like the Combine, some of the Inquisitors decided to stay in Shadow Haven while others went to the surface.
