As you enter this zone your lungs feel heavy, every breath laden with moisture rising up from the Swamp of No Hope or with sticky humidity coming from the Lake of Ill Omen. Perhaps you took the crisp air of the Kylong Plains for granted? Yet something else besides the air seems to be dragging you down. You can see ruins in the distance, and old structures of a forgotten empire still in use. It's almost as if something deep within yourself is telling you that this land was already ancient when the world was still young.
There are two opposing factions in Fens of Nathsar, the Sarnak of Bathezid's Watch and the Iksar of Riliss, yet for now they have a fragile truce. When you first enter, the guards of both factions will be hostile to you. However, after doing the first few quests with a faction, the guards will no longer attack, allowing you to quest semi-peacefully. Some of the faction quests will require you to kill mobs of the opposing faction, causing you to lose status with that faction. As long as you don't go on a massive killing spree of the opposing faction, these kill-quests will not prevent you from
